Lower Brook House is a 17th-century building offering 5-star service in the picturesque Cotswold village of Blockley. It has large, individually-decorated rooms with beautiful country views and home-made biscuits every day. Situated alongside Blockley Brook, Lower Brook has free parking available on site, and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas. Guests at the magnificent Lower Brook House can enjoy many traditional country house features, including flagstone floors and a real log fire. Wholesome, home-cooked meals are served in the restaurant. Sheltered in a deep valley, Blockley is a conservation area within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are a number of wonderful walks around the village, passing a church that dates back to the 12th century. Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace are a leisurely 40-minute drive away.

Lower Brook House has 6 charming and individually furnished rooms, all of which come complete with complimentary mineral water, fresh fruit and home-made biscuits every day. Most of the rooms have beautiful views of the gardens, the picturesque village and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

As Lower Brook House is a Grade 2 listed building, the house is somewhat restricted in terms of the overall size of the rooms. Nevertheless, the attractive rooms make the best use of the available space to maximise your comfort and offer you a peaceful haven for a restful, relaxing base.

Enjoy an imaginative menu in the evening and a hearty Cotswold breakfast in the morning. The hotel's restaurant proudly uses fresh, local ingredients.

It is advisable to make a prior booking to avoid disappointment.

Please note: the restaurant is normally closed on a Sunday evenings, except on Bank Holiday weekends when it is open.

The surrounding countryside is the Cotswolds at its very best, with rolling hills and fields enclosed by dry-stone walls; elegant woodland gracing the landscape; and tiny hamlets nestling snugly in the hillside.

Other local attractions include the Wildfowl Trust at Slimbridge and the Roman villa at Chedworth. The area is also blessed with a number of outstanding sporting attractions, including National Hunt racing at Cheltenham, as well as some of the country’s most beautiful golf courses.

РАСПОЛОЖЕНИЕ

The village of Blockley is just off the A44, between Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway.

By Car (from Moreton):
- Leave Bourton on the Hill and Blockley is clearly signposted to the right.
- This road leads directly into the village.
- Lower Brook House is on the right-hand side of the road as you enter the village, at the bottom of the hill.

By Car (from Broadway):
- Follow the signs towards Oxford on the A44.
- Blockley is signposted to the left, approximately 3 miles (5 km) from Broadway.
- Enter the village and, at the T-junction, turn right, towards the centre of the village.
- Take the 1st immediate left and, at the bottom of the hill, turn right into Station Road.
- Lower Brook House is on the left-hand side after about 100 metres and the car park is on the left, immediately after the house.
